Resumo

A pesquisa sobre tênis de corrida de alta tecnologia está crescendo, mas poucos estudos estão disponíveis sobre o uso de tênis de corrida de alta tecnologia (super spikes), apesar de sua crescente popularidade entre os atletas de corrida. O objetivo deste estudo de caso foi investigar a cinemática, a cinética e as pressões plantares de um atleta olímpico de corrida usando dois tipos diferentes de calçados, para fornecer um método fácil e replicável para avaliar sua influência na biomecânica da corrida. O atleta testado realizou seis testes de corrida, na mesma velocidade, calçando um par de tênis spike normal (NSS) e um tênis super spike (SSS), em ordem aleatória. O SSS aumentou o tempo de contato, o impacto vertical e a força de balanço (tamanho do efeito 3,70, 7,86 e 1,31, respectivamente), enquanto reduziu o tipo de impacto do pé e a taxa de força de reação vertical do solo (tamanho do efeito 3,62 e 7,21, respectivamente). Além disso, foi observada uma mudança significativa na carga medial e lateral, com o SSS induzindo uma distribuição de carga mais simétrica entre os pés esquerdo e direito em comparação com o NSS (SSS carga medial esquerda 57,1 ± 2,1%, carga lateral esquerda 42,9 ± 1,4%, carga lateral direita carga medial 55,1 ± 2,6%, carga lateral direita 44,9 ± 2,6%). Os resultados deste estudo de caso sugerem a importância da utilização de métodos de avaliação individual para avaliar as adaptações dos calçados em atletas de corrida, que podem induzir modificações biomecânicas e devem ser considerados pelos treinadores para garantir um desempenho de corrida ideal.
